speaker on homelessness and Civil Rights.

Professor at North Carolina AT&T, thesis mentor for Antoinette Candia-Bailey who interviewed Black academics regarding the racial hardships they faced in moving upwards in their careers. After being denied paid leave to deal with her own Depression, Candia-Bailey was fired and ordered to vacate her campus apartment. Candia-Bailey then committed suicide. The College president who fired her, white, then took paid leave himself.

Their series of “Black in Mayberry” interviews give the direct experiences of racism experienced by people of color in El Segundo.
